The London Stadium proved to be a lucky spot for the Arsenal team, recording it at Arsenals highest scoring away game Premier League history. With five different players scoring across the match. It wasn’t an easy win for Arsenal after their prior 2 defeats to West Ham earlier on in the season. It wasn’t wins for everyone though after West Ham fans began to flee the stadium before it was even half-time, people begun to question whether West Ham manager David Moves should be allowed to sign a new managerial contract for West Ham. With it being West Ham’s biggest ever home defeat.

Former West Ham captain Declan Rice scored a beautiful goal alongside two assists, even with booing from the West Ham fans. This match is arguably the best he’s  played since transferring to Arsenal in July oflast year.

The game left Arsenal with hope of winning the league after their 3-1 win to Liverpool last weekend and currently drawing on points with Man City. Managing to stay 5 points clear of third position where Tottenham is currently placing.

It was a rapid flow of goals for Arsenal with 3 goals scored in 6 minutes, all stemming from Saka’s penalty on the 41stminute, to the bottom right corner of the goal, after being taken out by West Ham’s Alphonse Areola. Only to be followed 3 minutes later by Gabriel’s beautiful header into the bottom left of the goal as a result of Rice’s beautiful corner assist. The 3rd goal among the hattrick of goals was scored by Arsenal Trossard after an assist by Odegard.

Bukayo Saka even managed to score his 50th goal for Arsenal, this led him to be the 5th youngest player to ever do so at being only 22 years old when the 50th goal was conceded. A player valued for his goal scoring and consistency to do. As well as loyalty to the team since joining the Arsenal Academy when he was 9 years old.

On the 67th minute into the match Mikel Arteta decided to switch out his goal scorers by substituting Mohamed Elneny to replace Declan Rice, Reiss Nelson to replace Bukayo Saka. This could have been a tactical move by Arteta to prevent any injuries from happening to his top goal scorers players before there next away game against Burnley on Saturday the 16thof February.

Arsenal remains consistent with possession of the ball in the last 20 minutes of the game with an attempted goal by West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen which Aaron Ramsdale managed to block keeping West Ham without any goals being conceded across the whole of the 90 minutes.

West Ham’s lack of defence and overall loss came as a shock after their prior 2–0 win to Arsenal only a month before, the Gunners were clearly just more eager for the revenge and felt they had something to prove.

After maintaining over half the possession across the whole game, Arsenal managed to conceive 6 of their 12 shots. While West Ham managed to receive four yellow cards across the game whilst Arsenal maintained no red or yellows cards across the 90 minutes.
